This grant is a start-up fund assistance that will support the development of relevant, innovative, and research-based instructional materials that sustains excellence in Bedan Education, as endorsed by the SBU Academic and Research administrators.
The grant intends to nurture students’ motivation and interaction in their classroom to increase learning. More importantly, this helps bridge and jumpstart materials development for Online Distance Learning (ODL) and respond to the UNESCO’s call on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Breakdown of grant is as follows as recommended by the University Academic and Research administrators
1. [50%] Upon approval of the IMDR proposal by the SBU-RDC
2. [30%] Upon submission of mid-report on progress of IMDR to SBU-RDC.
c. [20%] Upon final submission and presentation of completed instructional
materials
Total: Php100,000 – Php200,000
Citation to be awarded upon submission of the completed instructional materials with the SBCAF being duly acknowledged as donor of said project.
1. A Research team of 2-3 faculty members (with at least one (1) full-time) capable of developing instructional materials for online teaching as endorsed by the Academic Unit and the University Research administrator; and,
2. Research Team must submit a materials development proposal related to any of these instructional materials (e-manuals, e-textbooks, digital media, teaching modules, educational games and simulations, case studies, etc.) for the blended or full online mode of delivery of instructions during this time of the pandemic and beyond.
1. Prepare a quality instructional material within the period stipulated in the Contract, approved by the SBU-RDC and the SBCAF;
2. Comply with all the related administrative requirements of the SBU. Render a progress report based on the Contract of the research undertaking to the SBU-RDC.

The grant also intends to nurture students’ motivation and interaction in their classroom to increase learning. More importantly, the grant helps bridge and jumpstart materials development for Online Distance Learning (ODL) and respond to the UNESCO’s call on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It addresses as well the emergency needs of SBU, particularly during this pandemic.
